DISCOVERY OF METALS The period when metal was discovered was known as the Copper Age, Bronze Age or Iron Age, depending on geographical region. The age of metals began with copper. The discovery of metals meant that man could replace his stone tools with metal ones. That’s made of copper!!!

WHAT ARE THE COMMON PROPERTIES OF METAL Their most common properties are…... they are malleable(can be bent)... they are hard/strong/stiff … they are usually heavy... they can be reused... they are good conductors of heat and electricity... they are usually shiny when hardened (except mercury) … they are usually brittle
