Advantage of a SSD: Less risk of data loss.  Explanation: Because there are no moving parts it is much more difficult for the drive to be damaged and therefore there is less risk of data loss Advantage of a SSD: Much Faster.  Explanation: Because there are no moving parts, the data can be accessed instantly.

Disadvantage of SSD: More Expensive.  Explanation: Because the technology used in SSD’s is much more recent and very much still developing, it is quiet expensive to produce a SSD and therefore it is much more expensive for the consumer. Disadvantage of SSD: Less Memory.  Explanation: Even though the SSD may be faster, it will contain less memory to a HDD this is because it more expensive to produce.
