3 Aims…  To identify a model that all Sierra libraries could adopt  Reduce manual intervention  Acknowledge the importance of Libraries Australia

4 First steps….  Libraries Australia reviewed our data quality  Examination of our existing process  Talked to III about our options  Upgraded Sierra

5 What we did next…  Re-wrote our procedure  Created new saved searches  Created new scheduled jobs  Set up an export process

6 Wednesday  New Bibs, New Holdings and Updated Bib lists are created automatically  Updated Bib records are automatically sent to LA Thursday  New Bib and New Holdings are automatically exported to LA  Holdings tag manually added to New Bib and New Holdings Friday  Deleted holdings list is automatically created and sent to LA Monday  Deleted holdings are removed form Sierra

7 What we’d still like to do…  Consider more frequent contribution  Automation of the deletion process on the local database
