1. Welcome to Art Ms. Prinkey 2008/2009

2. Materials Needed Daily n 3 prong notebook with pockets. n A pencil and an eraser. n 10 sheets of notebook paper. n Color pencils/markers of your own if you wish. Note: you will be responsible for them daily.

3. 6 th Grade n Learns elements of art: line, color, shape, form and texture, n Reviews over water cycle. n Draws n Explores various techniques in drawing and coloring

4. 7 th Grade n Learns about the Masters in different Art Periods. n Tests over the Artwork from the Masters. n Does various art projects such as mosaics and painting.

5. 8 th Grade n Studies art careers. Has a report to do on an art career of interest. n Studies animals in art and presents their artwork to their class. n Makes a paper mache’ mask. n Makes a collage of things that represents themselves.
