5. POLISH TRADITIONS  Some Polish traditions are…  Polish Name Day- Every day of the Polish calendar has a name of a Saint associated with it. On these days, Poles over the age of 13 with the same name, celebrate their “Name Day.” This is a time for friends to stop and gather gifts that have been giving.  Juwenalia is a student festival that occurs in May or early June. This event has colorful parades, contests, games, and parties. This happens to just celebrate life and happy times.

6. SPORTS PART 1  A old Polish game that people are now mainly forgetting about now is these top 2 games Pierścieniówka and Kapela. The game of Pierścieniówka is a easy game but is super fun. This game is similar to the game of volleyball but there is 3 holes and the game is made to play with 2 hands. So you don’t throw the ball over the net you put it through the holes. Pretty weird right?!

7. SPORTS PART 2  The game of Kapela is almost played as the game you play at the carnivals. Its played by trying to hit down a kapela(a small pyramid made from some stones) with a stone. It was mainly played by the herdsmen.  Fun Fact: This was played till the begging of World War 2.

10. FOOD AND DRINKS  Some polish foods in the world are the desserts of cheesecake, sponge cake, poppy seed cake, and a pound cake called babka. Some other foods are Pork is the most popular meat, and the most commonly eaten meat dish is a fried, breaded pork cutlet served with thick sauce. Beef, ham, and sausage are also eaten regularly. The meat stew called bigos is often called the national dish of Poland. Polish drinks are coffee, tea, milk, buttermilk, and fruit syrup and water.
