Do not look at his appearance or his size… Because the Lord does not see as a human being sees with(?) the eyes and the Lord sees the heart. What are other ways we judge people by what we see?

Coin with three sides 1.Sometimes our opinion is too high(?) 2.Often our opinion is too low 1.We do not see the heart! 3.All human beings are made in the image of God Person = (1) unique (2) infinite Jesus died for that other person

2 Corinthians 5 Once knew Christ according to the flesh (= ?) Jesus = fool? Failure? Threat? A great human teacher? Death + resurrection transforms how we see Jesus… And everyone else!

The gospel (= good news of Jesus) Christ died for all For = instead of? To benefit? For = represent All participate in sin of Adam – First human being(s) turn against God – We all experience the results All participate in death of Jesus – Resurrection of Jesus => New creation

Christ died (and was raised) for all When Christ died all died but they were not dead and finished… Through his cross and resurrection Christ has already created his followers anew. This took place in the death and resurrection of Christ. At that moment Christians became new people. That is the way God looks at them. (Earnest Best)
