Our mission: The Statewide System for Vision Services (in conjunction with other partners) will demonstrate that their student outcome assessment programs help students achieve identified learning goals.

The population we serve: For this strategic plan students are defined as children and youth age zero to twenty-one who are blind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities, and receive services through the Statewide System for Vision Services

Goal: Expanded Core Curriculum All students who are blind and visually impaired will increase independence through documented achievement and/or progression in areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum.

ECC Accountability Measures 1.) Current and completed student “Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) Needs Screening Tool” 2.) Student IEP goals related to the ECC 3.) Progression on the ECC related goals in the IEP 4.) Trend data on students participation related to extended learning opportunities containing instruction in areas of the ECC

Target: How do we determine the services we provide result in student achievement? By 2013 100% of students will have completed the “ECC Screening Tool” __ % of students who are blind and visually impaired will show achievement in ECC IEP related goal(s). *Baseline will be collected January 2013 to determine goal via CRM data Extended Learning Opportunities will be available to 100% of students on a regional basis. Unduplicated student participation numbers will increase. Number of extended learning opportunities will increase
