Scratch 2 will be used to further our programming skills. How to safely receive and send emails including attachments. What are artefacts and who are archaeologists? Who were the Ancient Egyptians and what is their legacy? Music, Arts and Theatre will be closely linked to Egyptian studies. Introduction of Holy Books from other faiths. P.E. – Hockey, CrossFit and Squash. In Numeracy we will continue working with the 4 rules of number – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with remainders. Angles in shapes, Time, Money, Weight (g,Kg), Data – bar charts, pictograms and tables. We have been working on improving the speed and accurate recall of our times tables, plus having a weekly Mental Maths tests – we will continue with these activities. Its great to see that many children are participating in the Mathletics reinforcing the Numeracy covered in class. Spanish will continue to be taught by Miss Yorka, Music,/Theatre Arts will again be taught by Ms Shara and Mrs. Nikii They will be working on identifying pictures of musical instruments from hieroglyphics; explore mood and texture of music through the senses incorporating classic as well as contemporary music from the African continent. P.S.H.E. – ‘Going for Goals’ and ‘Good to be Me’ – Self evaluation and target setting. Acknowledging positive traits in ourselves and others. Other subjects taught outside the topic: R.E. -.
