1 Solve the following problems on a loose leaf piece of paper. 1. You just got your first credit card and you spend $773 on electronics, $296on clothes, and $124on going out to eat. How much money do you own the credit card company? Write this number as a negative integer. 2. You get your first pay check and want to pay down your credit card. You put your whole pay check of $1056 on your credit card account. Do you owe money, yes or no? If yes how much do you owe? Write your final balance as a positive or negative number. 3. If you still owe money, how much do you still owe the credit card company? If you do not owe money, how much do you now have to spend?

7 * What is an Additive Inverse ? * (The additive inverse of a real number is the opposite of that number on the real number line. A number and its additive inverse have a sum of 0.) Ex: the opposite of −3 is 3.

8 * What is the break even point ? * (The break-even point is the point at which there is neither a profit nor loss.) The outcome or sum is 0.

9 * What is Absolute Value ? * Absolute value describes the distance of a number on the number line from 0 without considering which direction from zero the number lies. The absolute value of a number is never negative.

McKinley to the bottom of Death Valley?
