Agenda 26 February 2010 6 Committee I.1 Environment Document structure Traditional topics (wind, waves (including rogue waves, tsunami) and current) Special topics (climate change and/or variability, consequences, space statistics, tail of the wave spectrum, long waves in shallow water, data distribution/access, uncertainty) Takuji Waseda – Metocean: directional wave spectrum. New observations (satellite, ship-borne radar, buoy array, lidar etc.), new analysis methods (Bayesian, wavelet, etc.),third-generation wave models (improved NL source term), and theories. Applications: can be included as well, such as, ship stability. Of course, freak wave prediction can be a part of it. Wave-current interaction, varying wind, etc. Design and Operating Environment (also marine growth, earthquake, uncertainty in extreme estimates, warning systems)
