Rising seniors interested in graduating after 1 st semester (January 2017) MUST inform their counselor at registration. Mid Year Graduates will complete a binding contract in the fall. Midyear graduates cannot walk in June or attend spring functions as a student (i.e. Prom)

SENIORS ONLY! You must be in good academic standing to be considered for ER You MUST complete and submit an Early Release Form signed by a parent/guardian We will NOT rearrange your schedule after “last chance” to accommodate ER! Many colleges want students to take a full academic schedule senior year…It is your responsibility to research how your perspective colleges feel about ER in your schedule!

NO! ….We do NOT allow students to take classes at other schools or through other programs to get ahead in their curriculum. YES!....We do encourage students to take advantage of academic summer programs but we do not give credit on transcripts for these opportunities.

Standard…..Honors….AP - AP Course Expectations (highly motivated, great work ethic, strong reader, homework commitment outside of class) - AP= College Level - Extra Quality Point = Extra Work - Challenge yourself but higher level courses are only beneficial if you are successful! Standard Honors AP CTE Language DO NOT OVERSCHEDULE YOURSELF!

Ask your teachers…they can tell you more about the courses in their content area as well as help you make the best selection for YOU! Do NOT choose classes based on what your friends are taking or what teacher is currently teaching the class. Review the PHS Course Offering Guide online for information about specific courses! BE CAREFUL…WE CANNOT CHANGE YOUR COURSES NEXT YEAR IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND!

You must select 8 TOTAL Courses! Courses must be BALANCED ! You MUST select THREE Different 4X4 and THREE Different A/B day alternate classes!

You and your parent/guardian must sign this card! Talk to them about your selections! Complete the information section on the front including phone number and email so we can contact you if there are any questions. Do NOT think that not getting a signature, not listing alternates, or not turning in the card will allow you to have a schedule change next year! We know your tricks

Counselors will be meeting with you during English classes. Ninth graders who do not have English this semester, counselors will find you during an elective period. If you have a questions about registration, please send an email to your counselor or stop by before or after school. Your parents can contact counselors by email or can send their questions with you for your individual meeting.

The CARD is still FINAL! Rising 10 th and 11 th cards are due to the counseling office on Feb 5 th ! Rising 12 th graders will hold their cards until their counselor meeting. ALL cards MUST be signed by a parent/guardian. Remember….choose 8 classes + 3 4X4 alternates + 3 A/B Day alternates You CANNOT duplicate classes!

Forms are due by 3pm on April 11 th ! NO EXCEPTIONS! You might change your mind about a class after 3 rd quarter….this is your last chance to make any changes to your schedule before it is finalized!
