1. Our Patroness is the IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY. Her grotto is located at the corner of Batangas North and Balayan. A neighborhood celebration among BEC 7-West residents is planned on June 27. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is a devotional name used by Roman Catholics to refer to the physical heart of Mary, the mother of Jesus, as a symbol of Mary's interior life, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and, above all, her virginal love for her God, her maternal love for her Son, and her motherly and compassionate love for her children on earth. 3. Ano ba yang BEC? BEC means “Basic Ecclesial Community,” or a “basic church group.” But just think of it as your “neighborhood church.” Imagine just living in your house not knowing anyone around you. Then imagine if you were friends with everyone in your neighborhood. That’s the way the early church communities lived. Each church group practiced FOUR things: 1. Fellowship – they know their neighbors by name. 2. Prayer – they prayed together. 3. Teachings – they had teachings relevant to the neighborhood. 4. Service – they served those in need, within and outside their neighborhood. In our parish, we are forming BEC’s or NEIGHBORHOOD CHURCHES by- district. You are part of BEC 7- West. Wouldn’t it be nice to get to know your neighbors? To do things as a neighborhood? And get to know Jesus at the same time? A group of your neighbors is planning activities for our BEC. We hope you can join.
