3. House Bill 5 (HB 5) Beginning in the 2014-15 school year, a school must ensure that each student, on entering 9 th grade, indicates in writing an endorsement that the student intends to earn.

House Bill 5 (HB 5) Foundation Plan (22 credits) – NCISD requires 26 credits – Students graduating under the Foundation Plan (with no endorsement) will be approved on a case-by-case basis during junior or senior year of high school. Foundation + Endorsement (30 credits) – this is the recommended graduation plan – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) – Business & Industry – Public Service – Arts & Humanities – Multidisciplinary
