3 “Let Teen-Agers Try Adulthood” 1.Take 4 minutes to review Leon Botstein’s article. Look at your comments on the text, and clarify your understanding of his thesis. --While you do this, I will check in the “Mark the Text” portion of the homework. 2.Number the paragraphs—there are 11 total.

4 “Let Teen-Agers Try Adulthood” 3.With a partner, you are to CREATE an OUTLINE for Botstein’s essay. You will turn-in one sheet of paper for both people, so make sure your names are on it.

5 The Outline Your OUTLINE must identify the following: I. Begin with the THESIS II. Botstein’s Main Argument #1 A. Main Argument B. How does it connect to thesis? III. Botstein’s Main Argument #2 IV. Botstein’s Main Argument #3 V. Botstein’s Main Argument #4 VI. Botstein’s Main Argument #5 VII. Botstein’s Conclusion
