9 Variable Inequality Symbol Constant Ex: X > -7 If you have to “flip flop” the sides of the inequality, you must also “flip flop” the inequality symbol! Ex: 11 is greater than b 11>b means b is less than 11 b<11

10 Solving a linear inequality for one variable is much like solving a linear equation in one variable. Isolate the variable on one side using inverse operations. Add the same number to EACH side. x – 3 < 5 +3 x < 8
