20. 2017 NAR Committee Appointment Process Members must apply to serve on a committee; recommendations cannot be submitted for someone else. Members may submit applications for up to 5 committees. Members can obtain up to 5 endorsements from other leaders. A member must have an expertise profile in GMS prior to submitting an application to serve on a committee.

21. 2017 NAR Committee Appointment Timeline March 1, 2016: Appointment process opens May 23, 2016: Application website closes June 6, 2016: State Associations review & ranking period closes October 14, 2016: Committee appointment letters are emailed to members

22. 2017 NAR Committee Appointment Process Some committees, particularly high profile committees, may be excluded from the state review period for preliminary appointments. Appointment letters for REALTOR ® Party committees will be sent a couple of weeks before the letters for all other appointments.
