The Christian is planted by the Word, produces fruit & longs for heaven! St. Peter Worship at Key to Life Saturday, August 2nd
2
Welcome to St. Peter! Our summer worship series, “The Christian Faith, One Word at a Time” continues this week. Our focus today is how God’s redeemed children long for heaven and look forward to the perfect life that is yet to come. May the gospel’s seed be planted in our hearts so we are truly “heavenly- minded”, but also be “earthly good” as we wait patiently.
3
Welcome to St. Peter! There are friendship registers at the end of each row of chairs. Please take a moment to give us your information so that we have a record of your time with us today. Thank you!
4
For Our Guests If you have questions, let us try to help. Speak with an usher, greeter, or the person next to you. If you’d like to learn more about St. Peter and its ministry, please talk to a pastor or member after the service.

14
Verse 1: Open now thy gates of beauty; Zion let me enter there, Where my soul in joyful duty Waits for him who answers prayer. Oh, how blessed is this place, Filled with solace, light, and grace!
15
Verse 2: Gracious God, I come before thee; Come thou also unto me. Where we find thee and adore thee, There a heav'n on earth must be. To my heart, oh, enter thou; Let it be thy temple now!
16
Verse 3: Here thy praise is gladly chanted; Here thy seed is duly sown. Let my soul, where it is planted, Bring forth precious sheaves alone, So that all I hear may be Fruitful unto life in me.
17
Verse 4: Thou my faith increase and quicken; Let me keep thy gift divine, Howsoe'er temptations thicken; May thy Word still o'er me shine As my guiding star through life, As my comfort in all strife.
18
Verse 5 (Please Stand): Speak, O God, and I will hear thee; Let thy will be done indeed. May I undisturbed draw near thee While thou dost thy people feed. Here of life the fountain flows; Here is balm for all our woes.
