3. Purpose The purpose of today’s session is to provide educators with various strategies to present reading, writing, and social studies content to students through arts integration.

Obtain arts integrated strategies for reading and writing. 3. Obtain resources for lessons through project based learning. 4. Provide quality vocabulary instruction using arts integrated techniques.

7. Motivate, Motivate, Motivate! Our students are visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile. The arts engage students, thus making the learning process much more memorable! Research suggests that the link to increased retention is due to the fact that each time a student uses information in a new and different way, they embed the information slightly more into memory. –Association of American Educators
