Science Olympiad
2
What is Science Olympiad? A national competition in which students compete in various “events” of their choosing. Events cover all topics in science and engineering from meteorology to food science to bottle rockets. There are 23 events to choose from, so there is something for everyone.

How does it work? Choose events: students compete on an average of 3 events, more or less depending on their interests. There are 2 or 3 students in each event. Students guide their own studies and builds with our assistance to prepare for the competitions. Meetings are more than just studying and are usually a lot of fun.

Why should you join? You’ll meet cool people who like the same things as you, both from Murchison and other schools. These connections can lead to great opportunities. You can learn more about what you’re interested in, but in an environment that doesn’t force you to study things you’re not interested in. You’ll make life-long friends. Although it’s a long way away, colleges love Science Olympiad.
