Wednesday, November 11 th Hello, Class. Please grab a copy of The Cay from the shelf by the door as you walk in. Study the outside of the book for a better idea of what our story is about. Today’s Learning Targets: -I can define 11 new words from our story -I can correctly respond to reading comprehension questions from chapter 1 Tonight’s Homework: Create 11 flashcards or 11 original sentences for your new vocabulary words. **be sure to list the part of speech for each word on the flashcard**

Chapter 16 discussion questions Think back through the novel. List at least five ways that Timothy helped Phillip. What is a legacy? What legacy did Timothy leave Phillip? On the bottom of p. 116, Phillip thinks, but something told me I must stay very busy and not think about myself. Why? What was he afraid of? Why did the birds attack Phillip and Stew Cat?
