2. T HE HISTORY The Eiffel Tower was built In 1889 in a celebration of The French Revolution. So they started and it took around about 2 years to build(1887 - 1889!!) The guy behind the Eiffel tower is a guy called ‘Gustav Eiffel’ He was well known in France for his bridge building techniques. They thought that the tower was only going to stay up during the celebration that year and yet it’s still up today. On March 31, 1889, the Eiffel Tower would be the tallest structure in the world until the completion of the Chrysterler Building in 1930.

3. ABOUT GUSTAV EIFFEL AlexandreGustav Eiffel was born in France in 1832. His last name was actually not Eiffel! It was Bönickhausen and that the name Eiffel is actually Germanic. Gustav has designed 2 special features in the world, The Eiffel Tower and The Statue Of Liberty. He died at an age of 91 in 1923. Alexandre Gustav Eiffel was born in France in 1832.
