1. The Scriptures describe our Lord in symbolic language representing safety and strength. “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2

3. The Lord is My Fortress A fortress offers protection and defense from enemy assaults.

4. The Lord is My Deliverer A deliverer is one who rescues another from peril or loss.

5. The Lord is My Shield A shield protects against specific attacks from an enemy.

6. The Lord is My Horn of Salvation A horn empowers its owner to gain the victory over adversaries.

Let us praise the Lord today for being our safe stronghold! “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised” (Psalm 18:3) “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.” (Psalm 28:7)
