Anatomy Meniscus Medial & lateral Bowl shaped Thicker on the outside border; thinner inside Functions: to increase knee stability cushion stresses placed on the knee

Anatomy Ligaments Major stabilizing ligaments Cruciate ligaments (ACL & PCL) ACL keeps the femur from moving posteriorly PCL keeps that femur from sliding anteriorly Collateral ligaments (MCL & LCL) Protect against side-to-side forces
