2. Why? Many kids get hungry between classes Why not us? As of 2000 98.2% of high schools have vending machines

3. Benifits Vending snacks are cheep for kids with underprivileged homes. Some kids don’t get a good breakfast at home and don’t want to pay for breakfast at school It’s hard to concentrate in class when your hungry

4. Money for the School A vending machine would be another source of money for our “broke” school. The money could go to school activities and supplies such as –New text books –New computers –Educational field trips

5. Healthy Vending Options People (parents mostly) complain that vending machines dispense “junk” But they don’t have to… you can fill a vending machine with healthy food

6. Healthy Alternatives Instead of: Pop Candy bars Chips Have: Fruit drinks Chocolate milk Gummies Trail mix

7. Student Choice Students should be able to make their own decision about what to eat. If we can’t decide our own food choices now how are we going to decide later in life when there’s no restrictions?

8. Vending Machines Cause Obesity!? A study following 20,000 students from 5th- 8th grade showed no link to vending machines and weight gain. Researchers suggested that eating habits are established by middle school. Meaning the ones eating unhealthy snacks from the vending machine are probably eating them at home too.
