By the end of Grade 11, you should have accumulated 24 credits:17 should be compulsory Have you met the credit requirements from the 3 ‘additional groupings’? You need 1 credit from each of these groupings. By the end of Grade 11, you should have at least 24/30 credits Credit Requirements to Graduate

Additional Credit Requirements for Programs French Immersion Students: ◦ 9 F.I. credits by end of this school year SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) Students: ◦ ensure you have your core courses, co-op, additional qualifications and certifications, and CLAs

Community Involvement – 40 Hours student responsibility acceptable activities outlined on the back of the tracking sheet tracking sheets are available in Student Services, on dsssonline.com or on www.peelschools.org completed hours tracking sheet must be signed by your parent/guardian before submitting should have 30+ hours by the end of this year

Literacy Requirement you must pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test or successfully complete the Ontario Literacy Course (after you have been unsuccessful on your first attempt at the test) if you are unsuccessful on your first attempt at the test: Option 1: Re-write the Literacy Test on March 31 st, 2016 Option 2: Sign up for the Ontario Literacy Course (OLC4O)

if you have selected a course for which you are missing a pre-requisite it will appear pink you cannot take this! You must change this before submitting

once you have selected all your courses, click ‘Submit’ print verification sheet and have parent/guardian sign it hand in signed sheet to guidance

Course selection website opens: Monday, February 1 st, 2016 Course Selection website will close: Friday, February 12 th, 2016 Courses selected using myBlueprint will not get uploaded to the information system after this date (you will not have any courses!) course selection is done on a first-come, first-served basis (date and time stamped)

‣ if a course you really want is full, you will be put on a waitlist ‣ no guarantee you will get into this course ‣ to minimize chances of being put on a waitlist: o Select your courses early o Make appropriate choices

▶ timetable changes are very difficult (and sometimes impossible) once the semester starts ▶ the whole school timetable is built based on YOUR choices! ▶ be certain about the courses you are choosing ▶ optional course change requests will not be considered in September
