What is an inference? An inference is an intelligent guess based on evidence in the story (movie, article, situation, etc.) and on what you already know. We make inferences all the time What inferences can we make about the owners of these objects?

Why is learning to make inferences important?
Learning how to make an inference will make you a stronger reader Also, you have to know how to make an inference on most standardized tests, including the EOC!
