1. White Lady in Kórnik

2. Kórnik Kórnik is located 20 km south-east of Poznań. It is famous of old castle that belonged to three powerful aristocratic families from Wielkopolska.

3. This castle is... This catle is neo-Gothic and it is one of the most freqently visited sites of Wielkopolska. It was constructed in the 15 th of century. In the 16 th of century the castle was rebuilt and changed to the Renaissance style.

4. Tytus Działyński In the middle of 19 th Tytus Działyński again renovated and considerably modified the castle. Now a castle is a library and a museum.

5. Ghost Like any famous castle, the Kórnik residence also has it's own ghost. It is called White Lady. According to local belief, Teofile Działyńska every night visits the castle as if she was inspecting her home.

6. Arboretum The castle park is the largest and the oldest arboretum in Poland. It has more than 30 hectares. It was set up in 1830 by Tytus Działuński who began to plant here all kinds of exotic and rare trees. Now there are about 3 thousand trees from various continents.
