WEEK 3

10. Date set: Wed 11 th Nov Date due: Mon 16 th Nov  Write an essay plan for the Jan13 aggression question in the back of the aggression pack.  Make revision aid for genes and hormones (AO1 and studies only)

Date set: Mon 16 th Nov Date due: First lesson after study leave  Make revision aids (AO1 descriptions and studies only) on the gender topics we have covered in class up to study leave.  Watch the evolutionary explanations for gender powerpoint (psych205.com, my teacher page, A2 homework). Do not complete the IDA as we will be doing this in class.  Prepare essay plan for timed essay (30mins) on gender. ‘Outline and evaluate the biosocial approach to gender development’ (8 marks + 16 marks).

12. Date set: Thurs 26 th Nov Date due: Thurs 3 rd Dec  Revise the theories/explanations for gender covered so far in preparation for AO1 gender test 1.  Look up definition of gender dysphoria online and add this to your key terms list. Then read and highlight/label pages 8 – 10 in the gender pack (the biosocial approach to gender dysphoria). Finally, complete the two tasks on p10.  Watch the social influences powerpoint & follow the instruction (psych205, A2 homework on my teacher page)

13. Date set: Thurs 3 rd Dec Date due: Thurs 10 th Dec  Independent study on the cultural influences on gender – read through the information and follow the instructions on pages 21-22 in the gender pack.  Complete revision aids for gender topics (AO1 for theories/explanations and studies only)

14. Date set: Thurs 10th Dec Date due: Thurs 17 th Dec  Complete pages 2-7 in Research Methods pack 2  Prepare for gender AO1 test 2

15. Homework for over Christmas Due first lesson back  Prepare for gender essay 2 which will be timed in class.  Make sure all flashcards are up to date for aggression, research methods (so far) and gender.

16. Date set: Mon 4 th Jan Due Thursday (7 th ):  Preparation work for next topic: Go through the ‘Introduction to Anomalistic Psychology’ powerpoint (on www.psych205.com, A2 homework). Due next Wednesday (13 th )  Read the handout on analysing and interpreting qualitative data, make notes/revision aids on the information.  Prepare for a research methods timed assessment. This will be a 35 mark research methods section from a unit 4 past paper.

17. Date set: Thurs14 th Jan Date due: Thus 21 st Jan  Complete pages 26 & 27 in Research methods pack 2.  Complete revision aids on Anomalistic so far in preparation for Anomalistic AO1 test 1.

18. Date set: Wed 27 th Jan Date due: Mon 1 st Feb  Read and complete pages 12-14 in Anomalistic pack 2 (Personality factors). For Personality Factors 3-6 on page 14, you will need to research what these are and find studies that show how they link to anomalous experiences/beliefs.
