4. SIAGUA Is an information instrument of exchange, knowledge and sustainable water management resources of the Latin American countries through Internet.

5. How SIAGUA functions ? Each national focal point (NFP):  Compiles and structures information in its existing country relative to the water resources  It selects, it organizes and it elaborates the information of regional interest to incorporate it to the IFP of the Latin American information system on Water.

6. What is the national interest to have an NFP in SIAGUA?  Facilitate communication and develop synergies between the institutions or organizations working within the water sector in the country  Improve mutual knowledge of players within the sector  Meet the new information technologies to improve communication and make better management of local water  Exchange experiences and develop local / regional SIAGUA member countries
