Refreshers 7.Time-outs -Pulling taffy ???? -60 sec – not a “full” – use correct language -30 sec – reporting; allow players (on playing court) and bench (out-of-bounds) to stand -20 sec – not time out! It is a “replacement interval”. Warning horn still at 15 sec. Sub at any point. -Positions during time-out 2/9/2016

Refreshers 8.Free throw Situations Play #1 – A1 attempts last free throw. B2 breaks plane of free throw lane before ball is released by A1. A1 misses ring on attempt. What is the ruling? How do we administer? 2/9/2016

Refreshers Play #2 - A1 releases the ball on the first of a 1 + 1. A2 fouls B1 while the ball is in flight. Ball enters the basket. What happens next? Answer - Report foul. Clear the lane lines. Administer the 2nd free throw for A1. B1 shall attempt appropriate free throws (if in the bonus) or throw-in by B (if not in the bonus). 2/9/2016

Refreshers Play #3 - A1 has not released the ball on the first of a 1+1. A2 fouls B1. What happens next? Answer - Report the foul, clear the lane lines. Administer the 1+1 for A1. B1 shall attempt appropriate free throws (if in the bonus) or throw-in by B if not in the bonus. 2/9/2016

Refreshers 8. Free throws (continued) You never lose a free throw unless the shooting team commits a violation. Fouls by the shooting team never cancels a free throw attempt. 2/9/2016
