2 Overview of development of the EVDCWM and its structure for strategic impact Provides a strategic overview on volunteering in the region by audit/research/network Liaises with regional organisations to secure volunteering in their strategic/business plans Contributes to monitoring the impact of volunteer activities Member organisations meet with local partners, for example local authority to reinforce volunteering as an important mechanism to build communities Raises the profile of volunteering through partnership activities Advocates for the training of volunteers and volunteer managers Provides peer support for its members Seeks to capture a range of volunteering taking place across the region
