1 Windows Movie Maker Lesson 2 Adding Titles, Transitions, and still pictures to Movie Maker

2 What is Windows Movie Maker? Windows Movie Maker allows a us to add titles, transitions, and still images to our movie.

3 Adding Titles to Movie Maker Click on the Tasks button. Under Edit Movie select Make Titles or Credits.

4 Adding Titles Make the appropriate selection.

5 Adding Titles Type your text. When complete, click on Done. Pick the animation style for the title.

6 Adding Titles Select the style of animation. Edit the text color or font if desired. Click on Done when finished.

7 Adding titles Remember that titles can be put before the movie, on video clips, and/or at the end of the movie.

8 Importing Pictures Import pictures Navigate to the folder containing pictures to import. Click and drag to select multiple pictures or hold the ctrl key while selecting pictures. Click the import button.

9 Importing pictures Pictures are Imported into the collections window and are given a default length of 5 seconds. It is easier to change the default time length before the dip is imported. Tools>Options>Advanced

10 Collections Window View the media in the collections window.

11 Adding still images to the timeline Click on a clip in the Collections window. Holding down the left mouse button, drag the clip into the timeline. Place the clip in the appropriate rectangle. *Clips can be re-ordered at will by clicking and dragging them to a different rectangle in the timeline.

12 Adding Transitions Video effects will alter a video clip. Video transitions alters the time between clips. One clip can fade into another clip, can push another clip out of the frame, etc.

13 Adding Transitions Click and drag a transition from the selection window to the rectangle between clips.
