CONTRIBUTIONS TO MATH AND SCIENCE Al-Khwarizmi : Famous Muslim mathematician. He simplified Hindu numerals into the numbers we use today and his work became the basis for a contemporary type of math! MOSQUE Just like Jews pray in synagogues and Christians pray in churches, Muslims pray in Mosques. Mosques function as a house of prayer and worship as well as community functions and places of learning. Let’s take a look at some of the most unique and important mosques found in the Islamic world.
