6 “Raising Children at a Young Age” Boy falling vs. Girl falling - Parents teach boys to be tougher and to take in the pain. -Parents tend to be more sensitive towards a situation with their daughter Boy wearing blue vs. Girl wearing pink

7 “In a professional environment” Women talk to others in a nurturing manner using group cohesion or creating a bond to work effectively and gain support Men are more task oriented, factually based, and straight to the point

8 Society’s structure & Gender Roles Due to the way our Society is structured, in order to be successful, you must be able to beat the competition. In order to accomplish this, you must be more physically aggressive. Since men generally tend to be the more dominant players by nature, the possess the economical, physical and political powers of our society. Women generally carry the emotional, sexual, social and communicational powers, but are also looked upon as the weaker or more passive ones.

9 Androgyny Blending of masculinity and femininity to an individual. Teaching kids while they are young about both male and female roles. - Letting boys know that it is “okay” to be sensitive towards certain situations. -Teaching girls to be a little bit more aggressive towards a situation.

10 Always Remember… Not to have certain expectations of what a male or a female should carry out in any situation. Help children to learn when they are young that it isn’t wrong to act more compassionate/aggressive towards a situation.
