Aruba, Where is it? Aruba is located off the coast of the South American country Venezuela Is an island in the Southern Caribbean Sea

What Went Down & What’s Going On History: The Spanish found the island in 1499. The Dutch West India Company took possession in 1636. They used the land for it’s rich resources which helped trade. Gold was found in the mines in the mid 1800s. And in the beginning of the 20 th Century the Oil Industry boomed. Current: Tourism is down Leads to unemployment, Very little environmental protection (Oil Industry & Air pollution).

Aruba…In my Opinion Something Interesting: The island is a bit bigger than the state of Washington THAT’S CRAZY!! I would LOVE to live in Aruba. The culture there just seems very close- knitted & the atmosphere is insanely beautiful

Economy: England is rich in resources-coal, petroleum, natural gas, tin, limestone, iron ore, salt, clay, chalk, gypsum, lead & silica. Also Tourism plays a large role. Symbols: St.George’s Cross, Tudor Rose, Royal Arms of England

What Went Down & What’s Going On History: England goes way back from Prehistory, to the Middle Age, Early Modern Age, & then Late Modern/Contemporary Age. Current: Breaking up Britain’s Banks, Preserving the past in museums, occupy street movement in London.

England…In my Opinion Something Interesting: The English drink more tea per person than any other people in the world. I would love to live in England, but I almost feel as if I were a trader. America is where my heart is at.
