What is Homeland Security? a concerted national effort to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America’s vulnerability to terrorism, and minimize the damage and recover from attacks that do occur? What is Emergency Management? an integrated approach to the management of emergency programs and activities for all four emergency phases (mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery), for all types of emergencies and disasters (natural, man-made, and attack), and for all levels of government and the private sector? Have these evolved in past 6 years? How do/can they influence each other? So What? (Hint: think investments and policy priorities)
