Marita’s Bargain

KIPP Are schools in lower income areas where the kids do not get a great education. Kids get in by a lottery pick Whoever goes there knows that they will be getting a great education and will stay out of trouble in school.

KIPP exct. The school also keeps the parents of the students on track by sighing contract saying their response ability is. The entire school is fundraised by local, state and federal dollars. KIPP has school for all grades all over the country

Vacations for the lower class They do not go on vacation, if they do it is not far and for a short period of time. Lower class kids are not in as many sports compared to the upper and middle class over the summer and in general Many children in this class play and hangout with there friends on their blocks instead of being in activities

Vacations for the upper and middle class Usually go on at least one vacation over their summers Have tutors or go to summer school to keep up on school and not forget everything over the summer. Parents put them in some sort of physical activates so they can stay active and not be in the house the whole day.

Concerted Cultivation Kids in the lower class do not have the same chance as the upper and middle class in education. Lower class kids would be the same educationally if they had the money or opportunities like the other classes did. Not having the opportunities is the biggest reason they are behind in the beginning of school
