10. Vanguard Expectations Vanguard is an accelerated curriculum that allows students to finish 6-8 th grade curriculum in 2 years. In 8 th grade they are taking high school credit courses in math (algebra), science (IPC), and foreign language. In addition to being accelerated courses our vanguard classes also meet the IB curriculum standards. Students must qualify as GT students to be eligible to take part in the vanguard program.
