7. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works”

8. The importance of reading the Bible carefully for ourselves  Jesus said: “He that is of God heareth God’s words”  The Bible: wonderfully constructed, with a harmonious & unified message  Repeated and challenging claims of Divine origin & authority: ‘Thus saith the Lord’

9. Psalm 119:160 “Thy Word is true from the beginning” [But what about the alleged contradictions and errors?]

Can we really trust the Bible? 2 Samuel 24:9 “Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel 800,000 valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were 500,000 men.” 1 Chronicles 21:5 “Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were 1,100,000 men that drew sword: and Judah was 470,000 that drew sword.”
