Second world war ● The terrible war of Brest start the 7th of August, 1944 ● She takes end the 18th of September, after 6 weeks of bombardments. ● At the end of the Second World War, Jacques Prévert composed the poignant poem "Barbara". First bombardment 20 September 1940

Prison of Brest ● The architect is Antoine Choquet de Lindu. It was destinated for the convicts. ● It was the 1st of January, 1859. ● It was changed on hospital, on shop and other things … ● These walls resisted the bombs in 1944 but they were destroyed to make place for boulevard Jean-Moulin.

Lapérouse ● He was one of the best french sailers. He was born at Albi in 1741. ● He was sent by Louis XVI to explore the Pacific Ocean in 1785, he traveled during more two years, from Chili to Canada, from Macao to Australia. ● He et his crew were disappeared in the island of Vanikoro in 1788.
