WHAT IS A SERVANT? A servant is: “a person who is under submission to another.” For Christians this means: “submission to Jesus Christ.” Servants of the Lord seek to: “carry out the will of Christ.”

A SERVANT OF THE LORD Paul is not expecting others to be something he wasn’t. For he also was a servant of the Lord. (Rom. 1:1, Gal. 1:10; Phil. 1:1; Titus 1:1)

Not Quarrel. Meaning: “Don’t cause a complaint or dispute.” Matthew 12:15-21 Proverbs 17:14 Proverbs 20:3 Romans 12:18

Be Gentle To All. Meaning: “Mild tempered, kind, or easy.” 1 Thessalonians 2:6-8 Titus 3:1-2 Matthew 11:29

Be Able To Teach. Meaning: “The ability to apply the truth of Scripture with clarity.” Titus 2:6-8 2 Timothy 2:2 Romans 2:21 2 Timothy 2:15

Be Patient. Meaning: “Steadfast during times of opposition, longsuffering or forbearing.” Colossians 3:12-13 1 Thessalonians 5:14 Romans 15:4-6

Humbly Correct Those In Opposition Meaning: “Gently instruct those who oppose the truth.” Galatians 6:1-3 James 3:13-18 James 5:19-20
