Taryn Gillespie Problem What effect does gender have on how optical illusions are perceived?

Taryn Gillespie Hypothesis I predict that the two genders will see different things in the illusions because boys brains aren't fully developed until they are about 30! Girls brain develop in their teens!

Taryn Gillespie Materials Test subjects- whole 8 th grde class Paper for subjects to write answers on Pencils for the subjects Smart board to show the slideshow with the optical illusions Computer to make the slideshow Class room to do the experiment

Taryn Gillespie Procedure Make slideshow (Optical Illusions) Get room ready (including smart board) Find test subjects (8 th Grade Class) 17 Girls 22 Boys Sit them down and explain the testing Show test subjects optical illusions Record their observations as to what they see in the illusion Make Table of observations/Results

Taryn Gillespie Conclusion Boys saw more of normal illusions. On most of the boys answers their numbers were even like 50% on both. I think that the boys saw the illusions more evenly then the girls! My hypothesis was correct.
