In Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the boys on the island and all their events summarized to the concept that is not nature that corrupts us it’s humanity. 3. In the Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, the main character is framed and locked in prison for many years, after he is released he plans an elaborate revenge but it backfires which shows us that revenge is never worthwhile.
