4  Soft tissue-soft and spongy, a gradual painless stop ◦ Ex. knee flexion  Capsular feel-firm endpoint  Bone to bone-a distinct and abrupt endpoint, two hard surfaces come together  Muscular-springy feeling ◦ Ex. Shoulder abduction

5  Empty feel-pain occurs before the end of the range  Spasm-involuntary muscles contraction, guarding  Loose-hypermobility  Springy block-rebound at an endpoint ◦ Ex. Meniscus tear
