2 Why is Neptune so blue? Neptune has a mantle of liquid hydrogen while the atmosphere is a combination of ammonia, helium, and methane that make this planet very bluish green. The methane in Neptune's upper atmosphere absorbs the red light from the sun but reflects the blue light from the sun back into space. This is why Neptune appear blue.

3 How many moons does Neptune has? Neptune has the current amount of13 moons. The largest of Neptune’s moons is Triton, which was discovered by William Lassalle just 17 days after Neptune itself was discovered. Triton measures 2700 km across, and it’s the 7th largest moon in our solar system. Triton is unusual because it orbits Neptune in the opposite direction of the planet’s rotation.

4 Is Neptune cold or hot? Neptune is very cold because it is very far away from the sun so it does not get as much sunlight from the sun than planets like Earth or Mars. It is so far away that it is one of the last planets on the edge of the solar system just like Pluto. The methane in Neptune's atmosphere makes it cold to because it is mixed with other gases such as helium and ammonia.

5 Does Neptune has rings? Neptune has rings according to Earths observations. They also have names for the rings to; the outermost ring name is Adam (which contains arcs that are now named Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity). Next is the unnamed ring co-orbital with Galatea, then leverrier ( whose outer extensions are called Lassall and Arago), and finally the faint but Broad Galle.
