Long e: e, ee, ea, y relax You can blend longer words with /e/ by dividing them into smaller chunks or syllables. When a word has a long vowel sound in the first syllable, we usually divide the word between the vowel and the consonant that follows it. Read one syllable at a time and then blend them together.
