The doctrine of the Trinity Key points There is one God, but there is also a real diversity and community within the Godhead. The Son and Holy Spirit are divine in the same sense as the Father. In the incarnation, the Son of God became a human being just like us in Jesus of Nazareth.

Love Love is one of the most overused and least precise words in the English language; we use the same word to describe our relationship with a mind-boggling variety of people and things: “I love my country. I love my wife. I love my friend Dave. I love my dog. I love my new bike. I love my brother. I love God.” Clearly, love means different things in each of these sentences and yet we use the same word to describe each type of relationship.” -- Kyle Fedler

Love Love is grounded in the nature and work of God. (1 John 4:7-8) Love is exemplified in the incarnation and crucifixion of the Son of God. (1 John 4:9-12) We need the Holy Spirit to grow in love and live out the radical demands of the gospel. (Rom. 5:5; Gal. 5:22-23; 1 Thess. 3:12-13)
