1. Famous Artist

2. The students will learn about the life and art work of a famous artist who was considered the most famous modern artist in the 1920’s in the United States. The students will gain an understanding of a specific art technique used throughout art history and will learn the importance of their chosen artist’s contribution to art history. The students will create a papel picado using symbols that are meaningful to them using the techniques previously learned in class.

10. 1 Page Biography about your chosen artist Presentation to the class about your artist with at least two visuals One visual will be your piece of copy cat art The second visual is your choice – poster, power point, some object that tells us more about your artist Be creative with this, it does not have to be a typical presentation Extra Credit if you come “in character” Due Dates: Biography due December 11 th Presentations will be made December 14-17
