Action Items 1.Target heads & chairs for strategic planning 2.Speak language of administration (or join administration!!) 3.Develop community-wide peer mentoring network 4.Start small: leverage existing resources, transition in bits 5.Maximize opportunities for professional development, invite adjuncts to participate 6.Call in NAGT SWAT team (“traveling workshops”) as needed: including how to collect data on student learning 7.Activate next generation – Offer grad and undergrad assistants credit or pay (and resume building) to support faculty in converting classes and grad students developing their own 8.Promote research on learning (e.g., DBER) 9.Talk about teaching in a constructive culture (diplomatic, empathetic, not off-putting, lesson study, informal feedback) 10.Become ambassadors: take short data ppt AND activity to faculty meetings/retreats, use stealth tactics to introduce active learning
