5 Skilled Labor  Requires specialized abilities and training  Need little supervision  Usually earn an hourly wage rather than a salary  Examples: auto mechanics, bank tellers, plumbers, firefighters, etc.

6 Professional Labor  Demands advanced skills and education  Usually white collar workers  Receive a salary  Examples: managers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc.
